Primary Responsibilities:
- Platform & APIs (AI-Enabled Engineering)
- Develop and support scalable Java/Spring Boot applications and APIs on Azure, incorporating AI capabilities such as LLM integration, RAG, intelligent search, classification, summarization, and predictive insights.
- Implement secure, reliable, and well-documented APIs using modern integration and event-driven patterns.
- Data & AI Solutions
- Build and maintain data integrations and services using MySQL, Redis, and Snowflake to support operational, analytical, and AI-driven workloads
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to enable data quality, feature generation, and AI solution adoption
- Cloud, DevOps & Reliability
- Develop, deploy, and support cloud-native applications using Azure services, containers, and CI/CD pipelines. Monitor application health, troubleshoot performance issues, and contribute to automation, observability, scalability, and operational excellence
- Security & Responsible AI
- Apply security, privacy, compliance, and responsible AI practices throughout the software development lifecycle
- Utilize secure coding standards, identity management, vulnerability remediation, and approved AI governance controls
- Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Partner with business and technology teams to deliver scalable solutions that meet business objectives
- Contribute to technical design, evaluate emerging technologies, document solutions, and promote engineering best practices across the team
- AI-Assisted Development & Tooling
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering platforms to improve productivity, code quality, testing, documentation, and operational support
- Utilize technologies including GitHub, Docker, Sonar, AKS, Redis, MySQL, Snowflake, Splunk, and Azure AI services to develop and maintain enterprise solutions
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of designing and implementing Java/Spring boot based applications
- 5+ years of experience implementing high-transactional RESTFul APIs
- 5+ years of working with various types of databases (relational, non-relational, JSON, Columnar, etc.)
- 4+ years of experience in Agile Delivery (Rally/Nimble/JIRA, etc.)
- 1+ years of experience in Azure AI and resources like AKS, App Service and MLOps
- Experience in working in an Agile Delivery/onshore-offshore model
- Proven solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues
- Proven excellent communication skills with ability to describe "data/capability stories" and explain value to customers
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in HealthCare industry standards like HL7, FHIR or SMART
