Primary Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based microservices and APIs using Spring Boot
- Build cloud-ready applications and services following modern architecture principles
- Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions
- Apply AI-assisted development practices using tools such as GitHub Copilot, M365 Copilot, and enterprise AI platforms to accelerate delivery
- Integrate AI/LLM capabilities into applications where appropriate to improve user experience and operational efficiency
- Define and promote coding standards, engineering best practices, and reusable design patterns
- Participate in architecture discussions, technical design reviews, and code reviews
- Support DevSecOps practices including CI/CD, monitoring, reliability, and production support
- Ensure adherence to security, compliance, performance, and data protection requirements
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of hands-on software development experience with Java
- 5+ years of experience building RESTful APIs and Microservices using Spring Boot
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices
- Experience with relational databases and/or NoSQL databases
- Experience working with event-driven architectures and messaging technologies such as Kafka
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Splunk, Dynatrace, or New Relic
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker
- Solid understanding of object-oriented design principles and distributed systems
- Proven solid analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with AWS cloud services
- Experience building cloud-native applications and microservices
- Experience with Kubernetes, API Gateways, and modern cloud deployment patterns
- Understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, Agentic AI, or AI integration patterns
- Exposure to AI development frameworks and AI-assisted engineering tools
- Knowledge of healthcare domain, provider/member systems, or enterprise healthcare platforms is a plus
