We are looking for an experienced technical leader to join our Manufacturing Technology department. This role gives an exciting opportunity to lead and grow Software engineers and at the same time be hands-on in a product team.

The Manufacturing Technology department provides solutions and technology for the engineering and manufacturing areas of the LEGO Group. We support production of LEGO® elements in the factories, decoration and assembling and packing of elements into our famous LEGO® boxes. This also includes supporting our maintenance and warehouses.
In the role as Competency Lead, you will work as a leader for 6-12 employees, ensure we have the right skills and grow talents, but also take an active role in a product team as a software developer.
Do you have what it takes?
- Several years of hands-on software development experience
- Deep understanding of technology, best practices and skills needed in modern software development
- Hands-on experience in cloud native development and corresponding services as well as architecture design patterns
- Curiosity in AI Tools and how developers can integrate tools like GitHub Copilot into their ways of working to enhance productivity and creativity in coding
- Passion for developing and guiding others
- Experience working in an agile development environment
- Being a team player and embracing diversity
Bonus skills
- Interest in working with Mechanical Engineering/Manufacturing solutions
- Knowledge about technologies behind Industry 4.0
- Knowledge about PLCs and the OT area
- Experience with container technologies like Docker and/or Kubernetes
