Responsibilities
- Part of a scrum team responsible for the design and development of:
- Services implementing REST-based APIs
- Browser-based user interfaces (may be either internally-facing or externally-facing)
- Quality Assurance and Application Performance Monitoring test strategies to validate proper function in deployed environments
- Shared tools or libraries as appropriate
- Specific other delegated tasks assigned by a supervisor in the Engineering job family
- Complete day-to-day tasks without immediate supervision, but with ready access to advice from more experienced team members
- Collaborate with other engineers on the team, including pair programming and code reviews
- Work with scrum master to break stories into tasks and provide estimates, and with the team to ensure the development efforts are focused and aligned with stories
- Debug and diagnose urgent issues that may arise with production services
- Exercise judgment in the evaluation, selection, and adaptation of both standard and complex techniques and procedures
- Utilize in-depth professional knowledge and acumen to develop models and procedures, and monitor trends
- Resolve non-routine issues escalated from more junior team members
