Job Description
Our 10-week Americas Summer Internship Program offers students an immersive learning experience with hands-on work in areas across the organization. Interning with PTC provides students with the opportunity to work on high-visibility and high impact projects.
Your Impact
Modeling interns are an important factor in accelerating customer focused enhancements. We have a pool of development stories for interns that can be completed during their tenure at Onshape.
Your Team
You will be part of the team building a highly complex and interactive web application, using front-end frameworks, websockets, and REST APIs. You will work alongside your mentors and other full-time employees on production functionalities and solving real user issues. You will have the opportunity to enhance your skills and make UI/UX decisions that will impact to millions of Onshape users.
Your Day-to-Day

• Work with UX to understand feature specification
• Implement and iterate in modeling features in part studio, assembly and graphics area
• Write automated test for modeling features
• Fix bugs in their features and related product areas

Basic Qualifications

• Enrolled in a degree program in one of the following or related fields: Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science.
• Good problem solving and communication skills
• Experience with Web UI Frameworks (e.g., Angular) or graphics APIs (e.g., WebGL)
• Comfortable working in a large code base

PTC carefully considers a wide variety of factors when determining compensation. The anticipated average hourly rate for this position is $32/hour.  This rate reflects a good-faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on a candidate's major, degree currently being pursued and location.
