How We Work:
As a Software QA Engineer Intern, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products. You’ll maintain, enhance and design manual and/or automated tests of our VPN.
We are a team that takes care of Norton/Avast/AVG/HMA VPN for Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, tvOS and GoogleTV OS. Our goal is to secure users’ Internet connection against threads and from prying eyes and grant access to geo-restricted content.
This full-time internship runs from 1st July to 30th September and is primarily on-site at our offices in Prague or Brno.
Mission and Goals (About The Role):
Your mission will include:

Testing new and modified functionalities to ensure they work as expected.

Preparing test cases that guide QA engineers in validating product functionality.

Developing automated tests to streamline the testing process.
Objectives (What You Will Do In This Role):

Verify product behavior through manual and/or automated testing.

Collaborate with QA and development teams to understand requirements and translate them into effective test strategies.

Learn and contribute to the automation framework (knowledge of Python is a plus).

Engage with the VPN product suite to ensure optimal security, performance, and usability.

Ask the right questions and stay curious – understanding why something works (or doesn’t) is at the heart of this role.
Competencies (What You’ll Need to be Successful in this Role):

Basic understanding of how VPNs work.

Familiarity with software testing principles and some hands-on experience.

Analytical mindset with attention to detail.

Willingness to learn, experiment, and ask questions.

(Bonus) Experience with Python or an interest in learning it for automated testing.
