The Role

As a Software Engineer Intern in the Datacenter Rack Management team at NVIDIA, you will play a significant role in shaping the future of computing. In this position, your main responsibility will be to create software solutions that enhance the efficiency of Datacenter power usage in our advanced technology. You will also be involved in improving the overall administration overhead of complex Datacenters. Your expertise in C, C++, and Python as well as your desire to learn and contribute will be instrumental in developing top-tier products that drive industry advancements. You will be an integral part of a dynamic and ambitious team that is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what is possible. Your work will directly impact the performance and energy efficiency of NVIDIA's products, shaping the future of computing.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Collaborating with a team of exceptional engineers to design and implement power optimization algorithms and strategies.

  • Developing and maintaining software components for power management in our GPU-based systems.

  • Developing innovative manageability features to enable partners to standup Datacenter faster and reduce downtime by simplifying standard maintenance.

  • Conducting thorough testing and debugging to ensure flawless functionality and performance of the software.

  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of code and processes.

  • Actively seeking ways to improve efficiency and innovation in Datacenter power optimization.

What we need to see:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Strong programming skills in C and C++.

  • Proficiency with Python.

  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Experience in power optimization techniques and methodologies and baseboard management control (BMC) solutions,

  • Knowledge of computer architecture

  • Familiarity with VLSI and VHDL.

  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities.

The hourly rate for our interns is 18 USD - 71 USD. Our internship hourly rates are a standard pay determined based on the position and your location, year in school, degree, and experience.
