The Role

Today, NVIDIA is tapping into the unlimited potential of AI to define the next era of computing. An era in which our GPU acts as the brains of computers, robots, and self-driving cars that can understand the world. Doing what’s never been done before takes vision, innovation, and the world’s best talent. As an NVIDIAN, you’ll be immersed in a diverse, encouraging environment where everyone is inspired to do their best work. Come join the team and see how we can make a lasting impact on the world!

Beginning in 2024, NIMs (NVIDIA Inference Microservices) are NVIDIA's best-in-class mechanism for delivering fast, accurate, and scalable ML models to users. We take models that are optimized for NVIDIA hardware, embed them within a continuously-improving inference stack, and expose this as docker containers with a standardized API.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Build out the NVIDIA LLM software stack and pipeline that assembles NIMs for public users

  • Learn how to optimize LLM models and ensure that they are fast and accurate, and improve the optimization tooling and technology

  • Invent ways to use LLMs to improve the LLM software pipeline itself

What we need to see:

  • Pursing BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent program.

  • Experience with OSS ML inference stacks (e.g., Ollama, vllm, SGlang) and serialization formats (e.g., HuggingFace, GGUF)

  • Strong Python coding skills

  • Experience with containerization (e.g., developing and deploying applications with Docker)

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Coursework in AI/ML (LLMs, image generation, etc.)

  • Experience with Docker and relater containerization tech (e.g., Kubernetes)

  • A passion for writing software (code on GitHub, writeups for class projects, etc.)

NVIDIA is widely considered to be one of the technology world’s most desirable employers. We have some of the most forward-thinking and hardworking people in the world working for us. If you're creative and autonomous, we want to hear from you!

The hourly rate for our interns is 18 USD - 71 USD. Our internship hourly rates are a standard pay determined based on the position and your location, year in school, degree, and experience.

You will also be eligible for Intern benefits. NVIDIA accepts applications on an ongoing basis.

NVIDIA is committed to fostering a diverse work environment and proud to be an equal opportunity employer. As we highly value diversity in our current and future employees, we do not discriminate (including in our hiring and promotion practices) on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, gender expression, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, disability status or any other characteristic protected by law.
