In this role, you will provide hands-on leadership for Evernorth’s Software Engineering Excellence teams. You will be working on several of the largest Technology initiatives for Evernorth targeted at revolutionizing Health Services and Healthcare Delivery system in the United States. The focus of the work is to continue to enhance our market winning capabilities in the Evernorth space.

 

The EvernorthTechnology strategy is fully aligned with our business strategy, resulting in an opportunity for you to influence in various directions – this includes technology\business direction but also recruiting and mentoring employees and influencing selection of and relationships with vendor resources to ultimately build and contribute within a world class Delivery Vertical.

 

This is a hands-on position with visibility to the highest levels of Evernorth management who are motivated to see the successful results of our efforts.

 

Responsibilities

 

·        Provides leadership, vision, and architectural/design direction for the team.       

·        Leads the team in troubleshooting and problem resolution. 

·        Aligns engineering solutions with the Technology strategy and supports the application’s requirements. 

·        Plans and implements procedures to maximize engineering and operating efficiency for application integration technologies. 

·        Identifies opportunities and drives process improvements. 

·        Takes accountability for the technology assets owned by the team. 

·        Optimize workflows and processes to improve efficiency and scalability with automation first and continuous improvement mindset

·        Collaborate with application developers, system programmers, and other IT teams to diagnose and resolve complex application or environment issues

·        Generate and implement outside of the box solutions to simplify the current non-production environments for better manageability and support

·        Ensure the integrity, security, and compliance of non-production environments and production deployments.

·        Create and maintain documentation for non-production environment infrastructure and processes.

·        Ensure stability, performance and availability of mainframe systems by troubleshooting issues, implementing solutions, and collaborating with cross functional teams

·        Develop models, procedures, and monitoring strategies within Release and Change Management scope

·        Analyze change and tool metrics to identify trends and automation opportunities for release process improvement.

·        Apply End-to-End Release and Change Management frameworks (including ITIL, SOX, and SOC1 Controls)

·        Implement AI-driven solutions to enhance automation in release management

·        Ensure compliance with regulatory and security policies while maintaining accurate release documentation

 

Qualifications

 

Required Skills & Qualification:

·        13+ years of experience with at least 5+ years of leading/managing technical teams with a passion for the developing the talent within the team. 

·        Experience with vendor management in an onshore/offshore model. 

·        Proven experience with architecture, design, and development of large-scale enterprise application solutions. 

·        Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

·        Proven experience as a Data Engineer, Test Engineer, or similar role.

·        Strong proficiency in SQL and database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).

·        Proficiency in Java, Java Spring Boot, React JS, with experience in JSON and Python.

·        Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

·        Knowledge of data privacy regulations and techniques for data masking and anonymization.

·        Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.

·        Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively across teams.

·        Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS and OpenShift.

·        Exposure to AI technologies and their application in software automation.

·        Familiarity with SOX, SOC1 compliance, and IT controls for regulated environments.

·        Knowledge of healthcare business processes and industry-specific compliance requirements.

·        Understanding of FMEA and software reliability concepts.       

·        Experience with Mainframe technologies such as z/OS, COBOL,

·        JCL, DB2, CICS, VSAM, MQ, CA7, REXX and DB2 Utilities

·        Experience with mainframe utilities and tools used for monitoring, debugging, and performance tuning

·        Experience with IW Teradata platform

·        Knowledge of SDLC processes, including agile methodologies (Scrum & Kanban)

Location & Hours of Work:

Hyderabad and Hybrid (11:30 AM IST to 8:30 PM IST)
