Who we are looking for
We are seeking a hands-on Application Developer (Assistant Vice President) to join our technology team supporting Regulatory Reporting across multiple jurisdictions. This role is based in Boston and requires close collaboration with both business and technology teams in an agile environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in cloud-based application development, large-scale data processing, and enterprise system integration. You will play a key role in designing and delivering solutions as part of our ongoing migration from on-premise platforms to AWS cloud, leveraging modern data technologies such as Databricks and Spark.
This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements.
What you will be responsible for
As a Senior Application Developer you will
- Design and develop scalable solutions for regulatory reporting across jurisdictions
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to translate requirements into solutions
- Build and integrate enterprise applications as part of AWS cloud migration initiatives
- Develop data pipelines and processing frameworks using Databricks, Spark, and SQL
- Guide teams on optimal use of cloud services for performance, scalability, and cost
- Contribute hands-on to application development across backend and data layers
- Take ownership of the full SDLC, from development through production deployment
- Implement best practices including test-driven development and CI/CD pipelines
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring system stability and performance
- Work effectively in a multi-location agile delivery environment

Education & Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 7+ years of experience in software/application development
- Strong programming experience in Scala, Java, or Python
- Hands-on experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, and SQL-based data processing
- Experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-native architecture
- Knowledge of application integration and microservices architecture
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices
- Experience working in Agile delivery models
Additional requirements
- Prior experience in regulatory reporting platforms (CFTC, EMIR, MiFID, etc.) is a plus
- Experience with large-scale data migration or cloud transformation programs preferred
- Ability to work in a hybrid model with Boston-based teams
Salary Range:
$90,000 - $157,500 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the location above, the applicable range could differ.
