This is an exciting opportunity to join the rapidly growing team of business analyst/consultant authorities in Dematic’s software organization! As part of this distributed team of software authorities, you will assist in building and delivery of the best software solutions to our customers.
As a Software Business Analyst (Software Project Lead), you are responsible for handling the schedule, scope, and budget of multiple software projects. This may include multiple software platforms/products across a variety of customers. You will work with a cross-functional team that includes sales, project management, software engineering and customer service to ensure successful delivery of software solutions to our customer. You will handle and lead daily stand ups, sprint meetings, retrospectives, backlog grooming, and other agile project management methodologies.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $102,400 - $128,000 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications:

To be successful in this position, your daily activities revolve around defining and leading functional scope for complex software solutions, and key activities include:

  • Serve as a functional authority with our customers, sales and delivery teams

  • Lead and support planning requirements for software projects

  • Review software proposals and advocate the use of standard/validated software solutions to meet customer requirements

  • Lead business process analysis, develop software functional specifications and conduct requirement workshops

  • Train, mentor and support engineering teams to implement projects from a functional perspective following best practices and standards

  • Lead scope and requirement traceability with customer and project team throughout the project ensuring alignment

  • Align software engineering, QA, and commissioning teams to ensure designed software functions are correctly implemented in a project

  • Support functional and site acceptance tests with customer

  • Facilitate project retrospectives to support continuous improvement

  • Build strong partnerships to align activities, resolve conflicts, and achieve project and business goals

  • Identify and prioritize software product improvements to meet industry and vertical needs

  • Define standard software solution process flows and functionalities

  • Take initiative to follow up on outstanding requests and meet committed deadlines

  • 10% - 15% travel for direct face-to-face customer workshops and conversations, depends on the project phase

What We Are Looking For:

  • 3-8 years supply chain management or warehouse management real-world experience

  • Deep understanding of fulfillment operations, enterprise/digital software and WMS/WES/WCS software capabilities

  • Thorough understanding of enterprise software project implementation

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail

  • Confirmed ability to work on multiple projects at a time with significant technical complexity

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including meeting facilitation and presentations

  • Business analysis experience to elicit, clearly document, and prioritize customer requirements

  • Exceptional ability to develop and maintain strong, productive relationships with customers and cross-functional teams to build partnerships and get things done

  • Ability to think strategically to implement both short- and long-term technology planning

Preferred qualifications:

  • PMP

  • ScrumMaster certification

  • MBA

  • Degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering

  • Experience with major WMS/WES/WCS software providers

  • Experience with Cloud-based enterprise and digital solutions

  • Software engineering or software testing experience

  • Fluency in non-English languages
