Software Engineering Associate Advisor - Full Stack – HIH – Evernorth

Position Overview

Cigna, a leading Health Services company, is looking for an exceptional Full Stack Software Engineer (Front-End, API, and backend DB) in our Data & Analytics Engineering organization. The Full Stack Engineer is responsible for the delivery of a business need starting from understanding the requirements to deploying the software into production. This role requires you to be fluent in some of the critical technologies with proficiency in others and have a hunger to learn on the job and add value to the business. Critical attributes of being a Full Stack Engineer, among others, is ownership, eagerness to learn & an open mindset. In addition to Delivery, the Full Stack Engineer should have an automation first and continuous improvement mindset. Person should drive the adoption of CI/CD tools and support the improvement of the tools sets/processes. 

Responsibilities

• Work with business and technical leadership to understand requirements.
• Design to the requirements and document the designs.
• Ability to develop and test product-grade performant code using front end framework (Angular), middleware (Python, API) and integrated with backend Database.
• Automate integration, E2E and regression testing using testing frameworks such as Cypress.
• Work with dev-ops to build pipelines to deploy code artifacts on to the designated platform/servers like AWS.
• Troubleshooting the issues, providing effective solutions and jobs monitoring in the production environment
• Participate in sprint planning sessions, refinement/story-grooming sessions, daily scrums, demos and retrospectives.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• 8 – 11  years of Angular experience
• 8 – 11 years of experience with Python or any Object Oriented Programming language
• 5+ years of experience with AWS cloud technologies including the Infrastructure as a code frameworks like terraform/terragrunt
• 3+ years or experience with RDBMS such as PostgreSQL or MySQL and experience on SQL
• Experience in developing RESTful APIs with python and Django
• Experience with Git or any other source code management tool
• Experience in Agile and working knowledge on DevOps tools (Git, Jenkins, Artifactory)
• Health care domain knowledge is a plus

Location & Hours of Work

Full-time position, working 40 hours per week. Expected overlap with US hours as appropriatePrimarily based in the Innovation Hub in Hyderabad, India in a hybrid working model (3 days WFO and 2 days WAH)
