The Software Engineer will be responsible for enhancing and maintaining scalable and efficient applications that help internal and external users get the most out of the BiofuelCircle platform.
What will you do every dayCollaborate with cross-functional product teams to define and design new product features
Provide bug fixes and write tests and tooling for those features to ensure they work well at cloud scale
Understand the impact of a feature change on the overall platform
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise existing application modules
Write clean, scalable, maintainable, secure, high performing and efficient code
Go beyond code deployment by assisting with roll-out, troubleshooting issues and supporting the implementation of new functionality
Proactively and regularly make recommendations for system improvements
Develop, test, and deploy high-quality C# applications
Design and implement RESTful APIs
The ideal candidate profileYou have more than 2 years of software development experience in C#
You are conversant in .NET Core and ASP.NET Core
You have used Entity Framework and LINQ (preferably Dapper)
You are hands-on with SQL Server or other relational databases, and can write SQL queries and stored procedures
You understand cloud-based micro-services architecture
You are comfortable with version control tools (like Git, Azure DevOps, or similar)
You are analytical, with demonstrable problem-solving skills
You can coordinate, follow up, follow through and drive matters to closure proactively
You take ownership and accountability and don't need a manager reminding of tasks or deadlines
You can work with cross functional and remote development teams
Exposure to third-party integrations such as payment gateways and accounting systems will give you an advantage over other applicants
Having worked in an Agile software development environment will also give you an advantage over other applicants
