CISCO Data Center team work on products delivering Ultra-reliable performance with Scalable infrastructure which provide a robust and scalable foundation for Data Center networking, offering high performance, resilience, and automation capabilities. They are designed to meet the diverse needs of modern data centers, including virtualization, unified computing, and AI/ML applications.

Data center and storage network infrastructure product portfolio includes Cisco Nexus and Cisco MDS 9000 series switches. Cisco Nexus offers a range of data center networking products, including switches like Nexus 9000 Series, Nexus 3000 Series, Nexus-R Series, Optics, as well as the Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller, which provides centralized management and automation.

Solutions provided by these products include AI & GPU Infrastructure Networking, Data Center for Service Provider Networks, VXLAN MP-BGP EVPN, Segment Routing, Network Security, Security Integrations and Solutions for Professional Media Networking (PMN)

Expert in Automation Design and Implementation: Design and implement automation suites for solution and feature tests using Python to enhance efficiency.

Customer Engagement: Proficiency in customer interface and communication, data analysis, problem-solving, and understanding deployments and solutions.

Test Design and Execution: Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for new and existing network features.

Qualifications

Educational Background: Typically requires a Bachelor's/master's degree in computer science or related field with 1-3 years of relevant experience.

Technical Proficiency:

Experience in TCP/IP, VLAN, STP, Routing protocols (BGP, OSPF,EIGRP, IS-IS, ECMP,  Traffic Hashing Algorithm ) Openconfig, Netconf, YANG, network automation, AI/ML, Security Infrastructure : AAA, RADIUS, LDAP, Certificate Management, PKI, DNS, NTP, Dot1x, SSH/SSL, FIPS, Password Management

• Hands-on experience in Test case designing, testbed building, and debugging

Desirable Skills:

• Exposure to large-scale distributed systems.

• Understanding of cloud architecture and services in multiple public clouds like AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure.

Programming Skills:

• Strong programming knowledge (Python),git, AI/ML to develop modular and scalable automation to meet functional/solution requirement

Soft Skills:

• Motivated self-starter with strong communication and organizational skills.

• Proven ability to develop and deliver superior products in cross-functional team settings under tight schedules.

• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field with 1-3 years relevant experience
  • Experience with TCP/IP, VLAN, STP and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, IS-IS), ECMP and traffic hashing
  • Familiarity with OpenConfig, NETCONF, YANG and network automation frameworks
  • Experience with security infrastructure: AAA, RADIUS, LDAP, Certificate Management, PKI, DNS, NTP, 802.1X, SSH/SSL, FIPS, password management
  • Hands-on test case design, testbed building, and debugging experience
  • Strong programming skills in Python and experience using git
  • Experience or knowledge of AI/ML for automation
  • Exposure to large-scale distributed systems
  • Understanding of cloud architecture and services (AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure)
  • Strong communication, organizational, leadership, and cross-functional teamwork skills
