Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Software Engineer to join our dynamic team focused on scientific computing and modelling solutions. This role is ideal for engineers with a strong background in C# or C++, and experience developing on the .NET/Windows platform.
You will contribute to the design, development, and optimization of software used for modelling and computational workflows that support CD and thin film measurement systems. You will work closely with scientists and engineers to translate complex computational requirements into robust, scalable, and high-performance software solutions.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain software applications using C# or C++ on the .NET/Windows platform.
- Collaborate with scientists and engineers to translate modelling and computational requirements into robust software solutions.
Design and development of scalable, performant, and maintainable software solutions for computationally intensive applications.
- Optimize code for performance, scalability, and efficiency in scientific computing environments.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and validation to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Contribute to UI/UX design and implementation where applicable.
- Document software designs, workflows, and usage for internal and external stakeholders.
🔹 Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of professional experience in software development.
- Proficiency in C# or C++, with strong knowledge of the .NET framework and Windows development.
Proven ability to design and deliver medium-to-large scale software systems.
- Experience in scientific computing, modelling, or computationally intensive applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience translating complex requirements into technical architecture and execution plans.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex technical challenges.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in global team environments.
Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Windsurf).

Minimum Qualifications
Doctorate (Academic) Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 6 years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 8 years
