Primary Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot to support RQ Core and Prospective programs
- Contribute to the 2026 Cornerstone decommissioning by modernizing legacy components and ensuring smooth transition with minimal business disruption
- Implement event-driven and streaming solutions using Kafka to enable reliable, high-throughput data processing and system integration
- Deploy and manage containerized applications on Kubernetes (K8s), ensuring high availability, resiliency, and optimized resource utilization
- Leverage MongoDB and other data stores to build secure, performant, and scalable persistence layers aligned with evolving business needs
- Drive AI-enabled automation and engineering best practices, including CI/CD, observability, security standards, and collaborative design across teams
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
- Graduate degree or equivalent experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Solid hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot, building and supporting production-grade backend services
- Experience working with Kubernetes (K8s) and containerized deployments in cloud or hybrid environments
- Solid knowledge of microservices architecture, including RESTful APIs, service design, and integration patterns
- Proficiency with Kafka and NoSQL databases (MongoDB) for event-driven architectures and scalable data handling
- Demonstrated ability to work in an Agile environment, contributing to modernization efforts, automation, and secure system design with minimal supervision
