As a Software Engineer you will support the development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of software applications that support engineering, manufacturing, and operational systems. This role emphasizes software quality, reliability, and compliance within safety-critical environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, improve system performance, and contribute to the development of scalable and maintainable software solutions.
What you’ll do:
- Assist in the design, development, testing, and deployment of software applications supporting engineering and production systems.
- Support the identification and resolution of software defects through debugging, root cause analysis, and testing activities.
- Participate in risk analysis and quality assurance processes to ensure software reliability in safety-critical environments.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including user guides, workflows, and software process instructions.
- Contribute to the implementation of system improvements based on performance analysis, defect tracking, and user feedback.
- Support the development and maintenance of scripts, tools, and automation solutions to improve workflow efficiency.
- Assist in monitoring system performance and troubleshooting application issues across different platforms and environments.
- Participate in code reviews and software validation testing, including pre-deployment testing activities.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and operations teams to resolve technical issues and improve system functionality.
- Support the deployment of new features, system updates, and configuration changes in accordance with established procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 1+ year of experience applying object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts and design patterns across multiple projects (e.g., academic, internship, or professional).
- 1+ year of experience developing, debugging, and improving software functionality and performance.
- 1+ year of experience using Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint; Access preferred) to analyze data and present results.
- Must meet ITAR and EAR requirements, including eligibility to work on regulated government or defense-related projects (U.S. Person status required).
- Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC).
Preferred Characteristics
- Security+ Certification is preferred
- C# or Python experience towards supply chain tools preferred
- Database experience (Postgres, MySQL, etc. ) is preferred.
