We’re looking for a Software Engineer to join our growing engineering team at Simpro Group. In this role, you’ll play a key part in designing, building and delivering high-quality features that power the products used by thousands of customers around the world.If you enjoy solving complex technical problems, collaborating with talented engineers and working in a fast-moving SaaS environment, we’d love to hear from you.
Location: Leeds (LS15) on-site.
What You’ll Do
Design, develop, test and maintain features across Simpro Group products, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code.
Participate in peer code reviews, offering constructive feedback and helping maintain high standards for performance, security and reliability.
Investigate and resolve complex technical issues, defects and performance bottlenecks across our platform.
Work closely with engineers, product managers and designers in an Agile environment, contributing to sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure smooth delivery.
Create and maintain clear technical documentation and proactively suggest improvements to engineering processes, tools, and technical debt management.
Share knowledge with your peers and help mentor junior engineers as they grow within the team.
What You’ll Bring
3 - 5 years of software development experience or a relevant technical qualification (Bootcamp, Degree, etc.).
Demonstrable proficiency in at least one major programming language such as Python, C#, or JavaScript.
Experience working with modern development tools and practice. Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
Excellent communication skills.
Experience working in a Cloud or SaaS environment
A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
