The Software Engineer role (Manual Testing) contributes to the delivery of products by carrying out testing activities as part of an agile team. This role involves creating test estimates, test approaches, and executing identified testing. Also ensure quality and timelines on design deliverables in product care and new product development opportunities.
This position reports to the Engineering Manager and is part of the Cytiva R&D center located in Bangalore and will be an on-site role. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.
What you will do:
- Design, develop & deliver Verification procedures for Software modules & subsystems.
- Understand design specifications and functional requirements.
- Collaborate with design engineers to clarify ambiguities and resolve issues .
- Define coverage goals and metrics.
- Perform regression testing to ensure stability after changes.
- Analyze simulation results and identify root causes of failures.
- Communicate with cross-functional teams (design, QA, product).
- Drive individual contributions using Agile methodologies.
- Work in HP ALM, QTP, Microsoft developer environment like Azure repos, Visual Studio 2019 or later.
- Demonstrate continual improvement mindset, develop technical solutions and seek business approval to include them in the product.
- Document software specification, verification procedures, Verification plan, Risk mitigations.
Who you are:
- Education: BE in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years Testing experience in new product development and Product care operations.
- Knowledge of application of automation concepts to automate software test procedures.
- Expertise in analysing complex systems, defining testing strategies, designing effective test plans, and ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
- Writing, reviewing, and executing manual and automated tests, including functional, regression, and performance testing
- Proven expertise in understanding the entire product development, sustenance process involving ISO & regulatory requirements
