The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain the mobile and web applications that power the [solidcore] member experience. Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain [solidcore]'s fitness platform using modern technologies including Node.js, React Native/Expo, Next.js, and AWS services
- Design and implement scalable backend services and APIs using AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, and other cloud infrastructure
- Develop and enhance mobile and web applications that power the [solidcore] member experience
- Leverage AI-powered development tools like Cursor, Claude Code, and GitHub Copilot to accelerate development and improve code quality
- Build and maintain AI agents and automation systems that enhance both internal operations and member experiences
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ship features that directly impact thousands of fitness enthusiasts daily
- Optimize application performance and resolve production issues, including monitoring with Sentry and responding to incidents
- Implement and maintain integrations with third-party platforms like Mind Body Online and Contentful CMS
- Participate in code reviews via GitHub and contribute to maintaining high code quality standards
- Work with blue-green deployment strategies and modern CI/CD practices to ensure reliable releases
- Stay current with emerging AI technologies and evaluate their potential application to our platform and workflows
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of professional software development experience
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js
- Experience with modern frontend frameworks (React, React Native, or similar)
- Solid understanding of cloud platforms, preferably AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, CloudFormation)
- Experience with RESTful API design and implementation
- Demonstrated experience using AI coding assistants and tools to enhance productivity
- Curiosity and enthusiasm for exploring how AI can solve real-world problems
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience with React Native/Expo for mobile development
- Familiarity with Next.js and modern web development practices
- Experience with DynamoDB or other NoSQL databases
- Knowledge of monitoring tools like Sentry
- Experience building or working with AI agents, LLM integrations, or automation systems
- Familiarity with prompt engineering and working with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.)
- Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code (CloudFormation, CDK)
- Experience in the fitness or wellness industry
