We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our Web of Science Research Intelligence team. This is an amazing opportunity to work on modern Angular, Java, Microservices, CI/CD pipelines, and AWS cloud infrastructure. About You – Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering
- Minimum 1 year exp in Java, Angular, Microservices.
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins, automated build and deployment workflows Ability to debug complex issues, analyze requirements, and provide efficient solutions.
- Familiarity with AWS services, cloud deployment, and infrastructure basics
It Would Be Great If You Also Had
- Experience with Spring Boot and REST API development
- Exposure to containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with version control systems (GitHub) and code review practices
- Familiarity with GitHub Copilot and other AI-assisted development tools
- Knowledge of API design, REST conventions, and API security
What You'll Be Doing in This Role
- Design and Develop full-stack solutions combining Angular frontend with Java microservices backend, following best practices and architectural standards.
- Leverage AWS Services for cloud deployments, scaling, monitoring, and maintaining infrastructure-as-code best practices.
- Sprint planning, daily standups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
- Build Microservices that are scalable, maintainable, and fault-tolerant, communicating effectively with other services.
- Use AI Tools like GitHub Copilot to accelerate development, improve code quality, and increase productivity.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with DevOps, QA, Product Management, and other teams to deliver integrated solutions
