About APM Terminals
APM Terminals operates one of the most comprehensive marine container terminal networks in the world, with over 20,000 employees across 76 terminals in 36 countries. We play a critical role in enabling the global Maersk Ocean and Logistics network and serve other shipping lines, beneficial cargo owners, freight forwarders, and intermodal logistics providers.
We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our APM FLOW Execution System (FES) team, based in Bengaluru, India. This role focuses on end-to-end software delivery, including design, development, deployment, and production support of C#-based microservices running on Kubernetes.
Key ResponsibilitiesEnd-to-End Ownership
- Take complete responsibility for software delivery from design to production deployment.
- Ensure high-quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions aligned with business requirements.
Development & Architecture
- Design and develop microservices using C#/.NET Core.
- Implement containerized solutions and deploy on Kubernetes clusters.
CI/CD & DevOps
- Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
- Ensure smooth integration and deployment processes across environments.
Cloud & Infrastructure
- Work with cloud-native architectures and container orchestration platforms.
- Optimize performance and reliability of distributed systems.
Collaboration & Documentation
- Work closely with product owner to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Document design decisions, technical specifications, and deployment processes.
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in software development with strong expertise in C#/.NET Core.
- Hands-on experience in building microservices and deploying them on Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in C#, .NET Core, and RESTful API development.
- Experience with containerization tools (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
- Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.
- Understanding of event-driven architectures and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to take ownership and deliver results in an agile environment.
- Proactive attitude and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
