Position Summary:
We’re looking for Software Engineers to design and build high-quality software applications. In this role, you’ll write clean code, debug issues, run tests, and solve problems throughout the development process. You’ll also mentor junior engineers and work closely with other teams to review and improve software designs.The role will see you working on the Marketplace Platform in the Finance Service Team. You will be focused on subscription management, billing and other Marketplace functionality in the APAC region and working collectively with the wider global Engineering teams on cross-team initiatives, features and functionality.
Our stack is Java, Kotlin, Groovy, Springboot, VueJS, AWS, as the main tech.
This role is based in the Brisbane CBD, and can be hybrid or remote, depending on preference.
Essential Responsibilities (includes, but is not limited to):
Designs, develops, and codes new application features. Debugs, tests, and troubleshoots application throughout the development process. Modifies and codes software systems. Analyses potential problems and finds solutions to pressing issues. Mentors other Software Engineers.
Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:
- Strong experience in software development, especially with Java/Kotlin, Groovy, Vue/ReactJS, in various industries or projects.
- Effective problem solver, able to critically analyse problems and offer solutions.
- Excellent verbal or written communication skills to technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
- Interest or experience in utlising AI technology in code development / review (CoPilot, Cursor, etc.)
- Ability to work with business or technology stakeholders to elicit requirements, and translate to technical solutions.
- Ability to work within a team and immerse yourself into the organisation's overall culture.
