This Role
We’re looking for engineers who want to solve high-impact problems with urgency, ownership, and care. Legal work is full of repetitive tasks, paper-based bottlenecks, and data fragmentation. Your job will be to help us turn that chaos into clarity—using well-designed systems, AI, and thoughtful software. You’ll build fast, ship often, and partner closely with product, ops, and design. Expect to own critical features end-to-end, from architecture through release—and to move quickly without sacrificing quality.
You Will:Own Major Features: Design, build, and ship production-grade systems across our core workflows
Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with product, ops, design, and legal experts to define and deliver real-world impact
Move Fast, Safely: Build in safety, observability, and performance from the start
Help Set the Standard: Influence our engineering culture, stack, and practices from the ground up
Work Onsite: Join us in-person 4 days/week in NYC for high-context, fast-moving collaboration
Have 3+ years of experience building reliable, secure software in production
Are comfortable working full-stack (we use Python/Django, React, AWS, OpenAI & more)
Write clean, maintainable code—and care about testing, observability, and performance
Thrive in ambiguous environments and take pride in figuring things out
Want to work on real problems that affect real people
Care as much about product outcomes as you do about technical decisions
$160,000 - $250,000 annual salary + equity
