As an Engineer in Connected Colleague eXperience, you’ll help architect and deliver a system where intuitive UI and GenAI-powered chat work seamlessly together – so colleagues can complete everyday tasks quickly and with few frustrations. The goal is to create a unified front door to multiple enterprise systems, eliminating the need for employees to juggle fragmented tools while providing conversational assistance enriched with LEGO Group-specific data, workflows, and guardrails.
As a team member you will be working together with a product manager and designers, to help set the technical direction for a reliable, scalable, compliant and user-friendly solution that boosts productivity and removes friction.
*Please note that no relocation support is offered for this position*
Core ResponsibilitiesBe a part in the architecting, building, and evolving colleague-facing platforms and services that simplify daily tasks, improve collaboration, and enhance overall productivity. Ensure solutions are secure, reliable, and scalable (Our favorite tech stack is: TypeScript, Prisma, PostgreSQL, AWS, Pulumi, React and React Native)
Partner with product and data teams to explore and implement emerging AI technologies that create smarter, more adaptive colleague experiences – especially GenAI using an LLM
Work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers across domains to deliver cohesive, intuitive solutions that align with our enterprise ecosystem and technology standards
Proactively address technical debt, performance challenges, and security considerations while maintaining a focus on reliability and long-term maintainability. Help ensure compliance in privacy and AI, for example GDPR and the EU AI Act
As part of the team, you’ll help shape how we deliver digital experiences that make every day work simpler and more connected for colleagues across the LEGO Group.
By working closely with product and design partners, you’ll turn ideas into practical, high-quality solutions that improve the digital colleague experience and support the LEGO Group’s broader digital transformation.
Do you have what it takes? We’re looking for a technically strong, Engineer who thrives on building high-quality digital experiences that truly empower colleagues. We prefer if you have:
Extensive TypeScript or similar and modern web technology experience, with a track record of building maintainable, scalable, and performant front- and backend solutions
Hands-on experience designing, building and running large-scale distributed systems, with a solid focus on reliability, security, and scalability – preferably with AWS
A user-centric attitude, translating complex requirements into elegant, intuitive, and seamless digital experiences for colleagues
Experience designing and building AI-powered applications, ideally GenAI solutions that integrate LLM-based conversational interfaces with supporting technologies such as vector databases, multi-step orchestration flows, and tool integration
An agile approach, focusing on evidence over assumptions—validating ideas through rapid experiments and user feedback to ensure solutions truly meet colleague needs
A creative brain, viewing LLMs as a new toolbox we can use to reimagine how employees get work done, and turning those ideas into practical, helpful solutions
