We're seeking talented engineers to join the Qualys team and help us build and enhance QualysGuard scanner services platform.
This role is focused on building and maintaining core components of QualysGuard and the responsibility of this position is to define and develop services and components in a consistent and dependable manner. The position includes close collaboration with the Product manager and other Team Leads to ensure the consistent, well-documented design of all system components.
The candidate needs to be able to work independently and solve complex engineering problems. Ability to ensure the design and interface consistency is key. The role requires commitment to the result and to do what it takes to deliver complete solutions.
Candidates should have deep experience in PHP, Oracle, HTTP and a passion for API design & REST.
Responsibilities
Work closely work with the Product Management team to understand the new features requirement.
Troubleshoot and fix any issues from production.
Prepare HLD and LLD for product feature requirements.
Code development for new feature requirement.
Design and implement distributed, scalable, high-performance applications.
Updating and altering application features to enhance application performance.
Qualifications
Minimum 4-6 years of hands-on coding experience in PHP based applications.
Excellent PHP5.6/8 and
object-oriented design and development skills
Good understanding of RDBMS and oracle
Good understanding of networking concepts, operating system fundamentals, data structures and algorithms
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
