Software Engineer
The Software Engineer must have experience working onsite in a manufacturing environment, developing and maintaining ETL pipelines, designing and managing data flow management systems, building intuitive applications, and creating impactful dashboards that drive operational excellence. You’ll collaborate closely with engineers across design and manufacturing to streamline workflows, improve product performance, and optimize production efficiency.

- Develop, upgrade, and maintain existing and new ETL pipelines for data throughout the entire company, including but not limited to tool metrics, test data, operations productivity, and quality.
- Support the manufacturing team with continuous software improvement for the MES system.
- Write and maintain web and desktop applications for internal tools to streamline manufacturing operations and improve data analysis.
- Create data visualization dashboards for various departments to analyze and summarize data such as KPIs, process stability, and yield.
- Create and improve top-level UIs that communicate with existing machine tool applications and provide easier interaction with machine tool code that is written by US and non-US engineers and cannot be modified.
- Engage directly with product design and manufacturing engineers to develop or redevelop applications to improve product performance or manufacturing efficiency.
- Manage engagements with external software contractors and vendors as needed.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Experience/Education
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, or related field preferred
- 3+ years of programming experience in coding or software creation using Python, C#, or related languages preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Experience developing, upgrading, and maintaining ETL pipelines across the organization, including tool metrics, test data, operations productivity, and quality datasets.
- Strong understanding of data flow management systems and API design, implementation, and orchestration across multiple tools, including specialized equipment, data systems, and business management platforms (ERP & MES).
- Skilled in developing and managing API and data flow systems within cross-platform environments, integrating storage services, automation tools, and databases across both on-premises hardware and cloud infrastructures.
- Experience leveraging data flow management systems to monitor throughput, yield, and downtime, enabling faster root cause analysis and improved production efficiency.
- Familiarity with high-volume manufacturing equipment and processes (preferred).
- Highly adaptable to evolving requirements in a fast-paced start-up environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, operations, and manufacturing teams.
Location
This is a regular, full-time position, 100% onsite at our manufacturing site in Georgetown, TX.
Salary
$90,000-$110,000 DOE

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use their hands or fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, and pull/push; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds without assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment –
Includes both a typical office environment, with minimal exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmental issues, and a shop environment, with exposure to high noise levels from operating machines, physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts, nuisance dust, and skin exposure to chemicals used to run/maintain machines.
PPE-
May be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to safety glasses, safety shoes, bump-caps, gloves, hair nets, masks, & clean-room frocks while adhering to the prescribed safety procedures.
