Job Summary
Join our fast-growing ZonePayroll team and play a critical role in shaping the future of payroll automation on NetSuite. We’re looking for a Software Engineer who is passionate about building high-quality software, enjoys collaborating across teams, and is excited to have a real impact on how thousands of businesses run payroll.
As part of a focused, agile team, you’ll work hands-on across the full development lifecycle—writing clean, scalable code, enhancing core features, and helping refine internal tools and engineering processes. This is a high-visibility role where your work will directly influence the quality and evolution of our SuiteApps.
Responsibilities:
Software DevelopmentDesign, build, and scale core features of ZonePayroll and other SuiteApps using TypeScript, SuiteScript, SQL, and JavaScript
Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code using modern development principles
Leverage our proprietary SDK built on top of NetSuite with TypeScript, automated testing, and documentation tools
Design and implement test cases to ensure application reliability and performance
Write and maintain unit tests to catch regressions and improve feature confidence
Troubleshoot and resolve bugs in both new and existing functionality
Work closely with engineers, product managers, and QA throughout the development lifecycle
Participate in code reviews and knowledge-sharing to strengthen team capabilities
Contribute to continuous learning and engineering excellence across the team
Document system architecture, workflows, and feature behavior clearly and concisely
Stay up to date with industry trends, tools, and technologies
Proactively suggest process improvements, tools, and automation to boost team efficiency
Job Qualifications:
3–5 years of professional experience as a full-stack software engineer, preferably in a SaaS or product environment
Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, and/or SuiteScript, with hands-on experience in modern frontend frameworks (we use React)
Experience working with SQL, REST/SOAP APIs, and web service protocols and formats (JSON, XML)
Solid grasp of Object-Oriented Programming, SOLID principles, and common design patterns
Comfortable using modern dev tools: Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and a passion for leveraging GenAI tooling to optimize development workflows
Familiarity with HTML/CSS and core web development fundamentals
Experience with NetSuite SuiteCloud development is highly desirable
Bonus: experience with Node.js or Java
Background in ERP, HRIS, Payroll, Finance, or CRM systems is a big plus
