Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to support the design, development, configuration, integration, and maintenance of complex SAP systems and custom solutions. This role involves working across multiple SAP modules, providing high-level troubleshooting, and ensuring solutions meet business and mission-critical requirements.
Primary Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and configure custom applications and enhancements within SAP systems.
Integrate SAP solutions with other enterprise applications and data sources.
Provide Tier 3-level support for complex and escalated SAP technical issues, ensuring timely resolution and clear documentation.
Collaborate with business analysts, functional leads, and project managers to translate business requirements into technical specifications and solutions.
Optimize existing SAP code and participate in performance tuning, debugging, and system testing activities.
Partner with SAP Basis and Security teams to ensure system integrity, performance, and compliance with security policies.
Ensure all development efforts adhere to SAP best practices, established coding standards, and documentation requirements.
Basic Qualifications
TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance is required
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field with 4–8 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 2–6 years of relevant experience.
Proven experience in the software engineering lifecycle, including design, development, testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of software for new and existing systems.
Proficient in software requirements analysis, software architecture, and hardware compatibility assessments.
Experience developing and maintaining infrastructure and platform-level software tools.
Strong knowledge of software development principles, standards, processes, and tools across the full software development life cycle (SDLC).
Demonstrated ability to work independently with significant impact on project deliverables and operational outcomes.
Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional and client-facing teams.
Ability to develop complex solutions that require in-depth technical knowledge and collaboration with internal domain experts.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience mentoring or reviewing the work of junior engineers; capable of leading technical processes or projects.
Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience using Atlassian JIRA for project tracking.
Hands-on experience with one or more of the following programming languages or technologies:
Java, C++, Embedded Systems, Linux environments
Experience with cloud computing platforms, cloud architecture, and DevOps tools such as:
Docker, Jenkins, Continuous Integration pipelines
Knowledge or experience with AI and Machine Learning concepts and applications.
Familiarity with software testing methodologies and systems integration practices.
Experience in secure software development and compliance in software infrastructure projects.
