DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Provide technical solutions, which enhance service resiliency and agility for a large group of technical clients. Create custom web applications and client APIS as needed to support client pain points. Provide scalable solutions to automate cloud deployments by introducing custom logic to CI/CD pipelines. Integrate testing and service monitoring. Actively participate in agile ceremonies, often breaking down business problems into technical stories to be implemented directly or by peers. Guide clients to leverage CI/CD tools and provide resiliency to applications while increasing efficiency in development life cycle. Review code contributions and identify technical solutions to support clients' needs. Investigate new technologies and communicate directly with clients as needed as part of a support rotation. Introduce automated testing to our code base to ensure functional accuracy. Work in a collaborative development environment, which include pair programming and shared design sessions. Construct SQL queries to both define RDMS schemas and queries.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information systems or related field of study plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software Developer, UI Developer, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Linux, Unix and Window CLI commands and scripting; Supporting Agile SDLC processes which lead to iterative development, planning and software releases; Documenting and implementing production code release plans leveraging ServiceNow; Microservice architecture and supporting middleware tooling for microservice communications in the cloud; Leveraging REST API calls, Apache Kafka and IBM MQ for inter-service communications; Docker containerization and image layering; Jfrog Artifactory for housing application images; Constructing custom Jenkins utilities via Groovy scripts which can be injected as part of the CI/CD pipeline for deployments, testing and auditing purposes; developing enterprise level java web applications using JDK 17 and above; Developing and supporting software which utilizes Spring Boot 2 and above in a cloud environment; Performing data manipulation, data structuring, data design flow and query optimization using both SQL and NoSQL query languages; Managing external dependencies and build time plugins for multi module projects via Maven and Gradle; Kubernetes for deployments, network management, container orchestration, and cron job execution; Automating CI/CD processes using git cli commands and bitbucket rest calls; Junit and Spock for build integrated unit tests; Blue/Green deployments; Automating acceptance, regression and performance testing for large scale enterprise applications; Supporting both planned and unplanned infrastructure outage events on behalf of a critical system; Establishing application monitoring through Prometheus, Grafana, and AppDynamics; Splunk for centralized log management, querying and advanced tracing through custom dashboards.
