What you’ll do:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain complex features for cloud-based SaaS applications using specified technologies.
- Debug and resolve complex software defects and performance issues.
- Lead the development of small to medium-sized features, taking ownership from design to deployment.
- Write clean, well-documented, and testable code.
- Proactively identify and address performance bottlenecks and scalability issues.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other engineers.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tooling.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers.
- Collaborate with product managers to define and refine requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent and 2-4 years of relevant experience is required. Alternatively, an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Experience with e-commerce and with specific experience of Shopify a plus!
- Strong expertise in programming principles (e.g. OOP, functional) and design patterns (e.g. DRY, SOLID, IoC).
- Strong proficiency in at least one frontend library or framework (React - preferred, NextJS, Angular, or Vue) and experience building complex UI components.
- Strong proficiency in at least one backend language (Node.js/Typescript - preferred, PHP, Python, or Go) and experience building RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
- Experience with database design, optimization, and ORM frameworks.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience leading small development teams.
- Proficiency in prompt engineering and experience in using AI coding assistant tool in day-to-day work.
