Software Engineer

What you’ll do:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain complex features for cloud-based SaaS applications using specified technologies.
• Debug and resolve complex software defects and performance issues.
• Lead the development of small to medium-sized features, taking ownership from design to deployment.
• Write clean, well-documented, and testable code.
• Proactively identify and address performance bottlenecks and scalability issues.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other engineers.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tooling.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers.
• Collaborate with product managers to define and refine requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.

What You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent and 2-4 years of relevant experience is required. Alternatively, an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• Experience with e-commerce and with specific experience of Shopify a plus!
• Strong expertise in programming principles (e.g. OOP, functional) and design patterns (e.g. DRY, SOLID, IoC).
• Strong proficiency in at least one frontend library or framework (React - preferred, NextJS, Angular, or Vue) and experience building complex UI components.
• Strong proficiency in at least one backend language (Node.js/Typescript - preferred, PHP, Python, or Go) and experience building RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Experience with database design, optimization, and ORM frameworks.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience leading small development teams.
• Proficiency in prompt engineering and experience in using AI coding assistant tool in day-to-day work.
