About the Role:
As a Software Engineer at APM Terminals, you will play a key role in our software development initiatives. You will have the opportunity to work on impactful projects, collaborate with talented teams, and drive innovation to enhance our products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and resilient LAM applications, ensuring clean, efficient code, comprehensive test coverage, and performance optimization.
- Define event and API schemas in collaboration with internal and external platform users, ensuring a security-by-design approach and seamless data flow.
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs, web services, and microservices, making strategic technology choices that align with business objectives and scalability needs.
- Uphold high coding standards through best practices, automated testing, and adherence to coding guidelines.
- Actively engage in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proficiency in programming languages such as PHP, JavaScript, and Node.js.
- Experience with web frameworks and libraries like Laravel, CodeIgniter, React, Angular, and Bootstrap.
- Familiarity with SQL Server and Oracle databases.
- Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills (English proficiency required).
