The Products & Technology team is an exciting new team passionate about using the newest technologies and approaches to deliver solutions & systems for the modern-day end user. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:

• Consuming and understanding business, functional and technical requirements

• Participating in solution evaluation, developing Proof of Concepts

• Collaborating with other team members to interactively design and develop new applications and features

• Developing and maintaining complete end-to-end solutions

• Developing technical documents to accurately represent the design and code

• Participating in design review sessions with project teams, acquiring consensus and approval on designs and documentation

• Participating in the research and evaluation of new tools and technologies that can help drive innovative solutions for our clients

• Serving as an expert in the support of the applications assigned

• Capturing and refining specifications and requirements based on technical needs

To succeed in this role, you have:

• Have a background and experience in software development — a Computer Science degree (or comparable) and 3 to 8 years working experience in software development.

• Possess a good understanding of computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, and strategies.

• Proficiency in developing robust, scalable applications using the Spring Boot Framework with Java, leveraging its features for RESTful APIs, dependency injection, and microservices architecture.

• Have some knowledge of and experience with how systems work at scale (e.g. threads, virtualization, configuration management, load balancers, caching)

• Skilled in managing your time and the projects you are a part of and can leverage processes, ceremonies, and tools to do so

Experience with a subset of the following skills:

• Agile Software Development is must have

• Building and documenting APIs is must have

• Microservices/REST API is must have

• Java is must have (production experience)

• Spring Framework is must have (production experience)

• Containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) is must have

• Test-Driven Development (TDD) is an asset

• Domain-Driven Design (DDD) is an asset

• Event-Driven Architecture is an asset

• Cloud Environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) is must have

• SQL and/or NoSQL databases (Oracle, Postgres, MySQL, MSSQL, MongoDB) is must have

• JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js is an asset
