We are highly driven engineers working on backend APIs for the Australia's #1 banking app - CommBank App.

We are hands-on coding and responsible for shaping the evolution of this system by designing and developing micro services, data access layers, REST API(s), and writing integration services for third-party API consumption, manage risk with safe deployments and automated testing, as well as learning more about back-end engineering.

We are interested in hearing from people who have

• Proven hands-on experience in developing backend applications using such as C# .NET Core, REST APIs and WebAPI

• You’re passionate about building developing and deploying high quality software solutions

• Are confident collaborating, present ideas, influencing and challenging stakeholders

• Are constantly continuously learning, experimenting, and driving innovation whilst applying best patterns and practices

• Solid hands-on experience with the full software development lifecycle and delivery using Agile practices

• Are constantly thinking outside the box and breaking boundaries to solve complex technical problems and core business objectives

• Are knowledgeable of security best practices and principles

Tech Skills

We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team:

• C# .NET Core, REST APIs and WebAPI

• Micro services and REST API Integration

• Create database designs for both relational and NoSQL databases such as MSSQL, Oracle and Snowflake

• Kubernetes, Docker

• GitHub, TeamCity

• Understanding of monitoring tools and CI/CD pipeline

• CloudFormation + AWS Code Pipeline, Azure DevOps
