What You Can Expect
Zoom is revolutionizing collaboration, and we’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to drive full-stack development. You’ll collaborate with Zoom Product Management and Engineering teams to assess product features and identify gaps for users and admins. The role demands expertise in building scalable, high-performance products and requires collaboration with teams across the US, India, and China.
About the Team
The Zoom engineering team is focused on innovating scalable collaboration solutions. With a hybrid work model, we collaborate across teams in the US, India, and China. As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll work closely with product managers and engineers to improve Zoom products, identify gaps, and build high-performance solutions. We prioritize best practices, software optimization, and continuous improvement in both front-end and back-end systems.
Responsibilities
Evaluate Zoom products and work closely with Product Management and Product Engineering to identify gaps and product improvement opportunities.
Build integrations with Zoom products and enhance features, including AI-driven chatbots.
Design and develop scalable, secure APIs and backend systems.
Manage code libraries to reduce repetition and improve application design.
Optimize code for robustness and performance.
Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and suggest best practices to improve quality and efficiency.
What We’re Looking For
BS degree with 8-10 years of experience in software development with proficiency in one or more programming languages.
Advanced knowledge of software engineering principles and design patterns.
Experience with Java EE, REST services, Web Services, and portal technologies.
Familiarity with RDBMS (Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB).
Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Containers, and Spring Framework (Spring Boot, MVC).
Strong experience with debugging, performance optimization, and building scalable, high-performance distributed systems.
Shell scripting is a plus.
Salary Range or On Target Earnings:
Minimum:
$124 000,00Maximum:
$271 200,00In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.
Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.
We also have a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations
