Software Engineer for our Hughes Network Systems division. This position focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining innovative software solutions for Enterprise Platforms.
Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance Enterprise Platforms by designing, implementing, and maintaining software solutions.
• Analyze user needs, evaluate project feasibility, and ensure operational excellence through systems analysis and process improvement recommendations.
• Stay current with cutting-edge tools and technologies for task automation and performance testing.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to optimize product and feature performance.
• Address development and service challenges, ensuring quality and efficiency in all deliverables.
• Document processes, workflows, and solutions to ensure clarity and alignment across teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, leveraging strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python and Go, with experience in platform components like Google API Gateway and Cloud Run.
• Solid understanding of core GCP services (e.g., Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery).
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Basic knowledge of orchestrated task or process automation and data workflow design and implementation.
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Proven ability to analyze and utilize information to improve software and processes.
• Expertise in software design, documentation, and testing.
• Familiarity with software architecture and UI/UX design principles.
• Experience in orchestrating data pipelines using Apache Airflow.
• Knowledge of network architecture and design.
• Hands-on experience with:
  • GCP Composer configurations (e.g., worker scaling, environment variables).
  • Role-based access management with GCP IAM.
  • Docker for local testing and deployment.
  • Monitoring tools like Stackdriver Logging and Monitoring.
  • CI/CD pipelines for deploying Airflow DAGs and Composer updates.
• Debugging and troubleshooting skills for resolving issues in Airflow and Composer environments.
• Understanding of GCP security practices, including service account management.

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level and competencies. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
Will be eligible for discretionary bonus, with funding based on company performance.

Compensation Range
Annual Salary: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00
