The Role
WHAT YOU’LL DO
As a Software Engineer on Viant’s Runtime team, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of our high-performance ad server, a critical application that handles billions of unique requests daily with low latency. This role provides a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge machine learning algorithms to drive bid optimization and dynamic performance enhancements. Additionally, you will help design and implement a self-diagnostic and self-healing architecture to ensure system reliability and efficiency.
Work Location:
This position requires you to be on-site Monday through Thursday at either our Irvine or Los Angeles, CA office locations.
THE DAY-TO-DAY
- Provide technical expertise to implement and deliver various web and other system projects
- Organize and participate in review sessions and contribute to design insights for the projects
- Develop good quality projects in a challenging timeframe and assist other members of the team
- Participate in system testing to ensure quality deliverables
- Contribute to the development and continuous review of the existing projects as well as participate in view and scope of future projects
- Engage in all phases of software development life cycle
- Interface with program managers and other developers for project-based assignments
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum B.S in computer science or related fields preferred
- Strong foundation in computer science and OOP
- 3+ years of experience programming in GoLang or Java
- Experience with MySQL, Oracle and other database technologies
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or other cloud technologies
- Able to develop detailed design specifications
- Expert ability to effectively identify and resolve project issues in a timely manner
