Job Description
DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Build, optimize, and maintain web-based application servers. Design and provide cost optimized architectures for public and private cloud environments. Develop, provision, test, and maintain pipelines for building cloud resources. Build and deploy containerized micro services in public and private cloud environments. Manage certificates, proxy pass setup's and integrate with databases and solutions. Setup network policies and apache proxy pass for site interconnectivity and application traffic flow. Create and Manage application webserver common configurations and deployment objects such as services, pods, deployments, network policies and ingress controller. Troubleshoot and resolve cloud migration issues, perform analytics to better predict the issues, take proactive actions, and facilitate post-mortems. Work with Software development teams to gather and analyze architecture designs and provide the cost optimized solutions. Establish disaster recovery policies and procedures based on application. Orchestrate and perform in software performance tests. Monitor infrastructure health and application logs. Setup visualization dashboards for application logs and health metrics. Identify bottlenecks in the existing public and private cloud environments and support process. Create a single click release delivery workflow to provision cloud resources and application deployment with blue and green model. Design, analyze, and troubleshoot large scale distributed multi-tier applications at a large scale. Test out resiliency and uncover weaknesses in our existing applications and platforms. Organize and participate in tabletop discussions to formalize incident response preparedness.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 7 (Seven) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, Network Lead, Software Delivery Specialist, Software Developer, IT Associate, IT Consultant, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 5 (Five) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, Network Lead, Software Delivery Specialist, Software Developer, IT Associate, IT Consultant, or related occupation.
Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: Linux; Unix; Agile SDLC; Microservices; Apache Kafka; Docker; Jenkins; NodeJS; Java; Python; Shell Scripting; SQL; Apache Tomcat; Maven; JSON; AWS Cloud Services; Oracle; Apache Splunk; GIT; Performance Testing; SDLC process; EC2; ELB; RDS; S3; performance and monitoring; GitHub; CloudWatch; Prometheus; Datadog; writing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using tools including CloudFormation and Terraform; container platforms including Kubernetes; production and non-production support of highly available applications; system performance monitoring; ELK; Performing proof of concepts and Resiliency testing using JMeter.
Job Location: 1111 Polaris Pkwy, Columbus, OH 43240. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.
