What's the role?
As a Software Engineer in our Activation team, you'll tackle high-impact challenges and build sophisticated systems that power real-time data, robust workflows, and seamless integrations.
In this role, you will:

• Design and scale high-reliability workflows to ensure our systems are always performant.
• Optimize data transformation pipelines, handling large datasets with ease.
• Integrate Akeneo with a diverse array of external APIs, helping us expand our ecosystem.
• Create intuitive, real-time tracking interfaces that deliver value to users.

What we're looking for:
We're looking for someone who loves both technology and product. If this sounds like you, you'll feel right at home at Akeneo. To thrive in this role, you'll need:

• Strong experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and React.
• A passion for building new projects from the ground up, with an eye on scalability and performance.
• An interest in strictly typed codebases, hexagonal architecture, and Domain-Driven Design (we're serious about this!).
• You enjoy working in autonomous teams and embrace peer programming or mobbing sessions.
• Backend engineering experience, with a keen understanding of how your work impacts the product as a whole.
• A love for testing, code reviews, continuous integration, and thorough documentation.

Extra points if you:

• Have experience with serverless architectures.
• Know how to handle large volumes of data.
• Bring a strong testing culture and familiarity with CI/CD tools.
• Have worked with syndication, retailers, or marketplaces.

Our tech stack:
At Akeneo, we love to experiment with cutting-edge technology. You'll be working with tools like ElasticSearch, Firestore, PubSub, and Terraform. We operate on a "Shape-Up" model-6 weeks of sprint, followed by 2 weeks of cool down-allowing us to reflect, explore, and innovate in a balanced and thoughtful way.

Interview process:
Interview with Talent Acquisition: a 30-minute conversation with one of our Talent Acquisition Specialists, where you'll learn more about the role, Akeneo, and briefly go through your experience and expectations.
Interview with Engineering Manager: meet your future manager and get more information about the role and the engineering culture at Akeneo. The manager will also evaluate your hard/soft skills by allowing you to highlight the projects you worked on.
Technical interview: This is not a typical technical interview. You will not have to use a whiteboard or be given a test at home. We want to reach the limits of your hard skills with a series of open questions. During the interviews, we will evaluate some criteria: technical skills, development practices, code & architecture design, capacity to pinpoint an issue at hand, sense of logic, and learning abilities.
Team interview: meet your future colleagues! A less formal interview where the idea is for you to get to know the people you'll be working with (aka your future squad) and see if you all want to work together!
