About the Job:

Are you ready to take on an exciting role where you can make a real impact? As a Zone Apps Developer, you will have the opportunity to design and build new features for our innovative SuiteApps, while also playing a key role in enhancing our development processes and experience.

This is a unique position that allows you to work on a variety of tasks, from creating new functionalities for our SuiteApps to improving the development practices that benefit our entire engineering team. You'll have the chance to directly influence and elevate the work of your colleagues across the company!

At Zone, we use our very own Software Development Kit (SDK) – an advanced extension built on top of NetSuite’s development technology. Our SDK features an automated test framework, lint, TypeScript, and tools for automatic code and documentation generation. Responsibilities:

Software Design and Development

• Design and develop software applications according to user specifications.
• Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code using appropriate programming languages.
• Apply software engineering principles to analyze problems and design scalable solutions.

Testing and Debugging

• Conduct thorough testing of newly developed functionality.
• Debug and troubleshoot existing systems to resolve issues.
• Develop and execute test cases to ensure software quality.

Collaboration and Communication

• Collaborate with other engineers, programmers, and stakeholders to determine requirements.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members throughout the development process.

Technical Documentation

• Create and maintain technical documentation for software systems.
• Produce specifications and determine the operational feasibility of projects.
• Document software functionality and system architecture.

Continuous Improvement

• Analyze existing systems to provide recommendations for improvement.
• Stay updated with the latest coding techniques and technological developments.
• Contribute to the improvement of software development processes and methodologies.

• Experience working in a remote environment
• 3-5 years of experience in Javascript / SuiteScript
• 3-5 years of experience using XML/XSL, JSON, and web services principles (REST, SOAP, WSDL)
• Experience with Git or other versioning systems
• Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS
• Knowledge of some modern Javascript front-end frameworks or other web development frameworks is a big plus
• Knowledge of NodeJs or Java is a plus
• Experience with NetSuite or other ERP/CRM systems is preferred but not required
• You love technology, you use the latest apps and love to show them off
• You have an entrepreneurial spirit - we will support and train you, but we expect you to take initiative when needed
• Fluency in English
