About the Role:

Under the supervision of the Engineering Manager for Growth Loops, the Software Engineer will contribute to the backend services. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the US with manager's approval. 

You Will:

• Assist with building modern platforms, IT infrastructure, and new user interfaces.

• Collaborate with other teams to experiment with new forms to grow user base and evangelization tools for customers.

• Drive long-term impact through the continued decoupling of and reduction of dependence on the legacy databases by upgrading systems and applications.

You Have:

• Position requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related STEM field, and 2 years of experience with software design, development, testing, and implementation.

• 2 years of experience with full-stack software ecosystems, including persistence layers, back-end systems, and front-end client development;

• 2 years of experience with software development best practices and software design patterns; and 

• 2 years of experience with Agile methodology, Git, Go, Google Cloud, Hadoop, Java, Kotlin, MapReduce, MongoDB, Maven, microservice architecture, Microsoft Visual Studio, Microsoft Azure, MySQL, PHP, React, relational databases, Rest APIs, SOAP, SQL, and TypeScript.

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $136,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
