Job Description

This position seeks a Software Engineer to contribute to the design, development, and deployment of software solutions at Pareto. Responsibilities include ensuring data security, monitoring system changes, and collaborating with stakeholders. The role requires proficiency in Java/Scala programming, experience with Microservice architecture, and familiarity with event-driven systems like Kafka. Knowledge of Go language is a plus.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participate in software design, development, and deployment activities.
• Ensure data security and compliance with organizational standards.
• Monitor and adapt to technological changes impacting system security
• Collaborate with stakeholders to meet project objectives.
• Engage in Agile methodologies for software development.
• Fill gaps in development as required and demonstrate a willingness to learn new technologies.
• Support project management activities as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1-3 years of software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Java/Scala programming.
• Familiarity with AWS services and deploying data solutions on cloud platforms.
• Experience with Microservice architecture and event-driven systems like Kafka.
• Knowledge of Go language is desirable.
• Have a background in back-end technologies, including API Rest Interfaces SQL.
• Experience working with healthcare data, including but not limited to eligibility, claims, payments, and risk adjustment datasets.
• Strong programming/debugging skills, with a hands-on approach
• Relevant certifications in AWS or software engineering would be a plus.
