Are you a passionate Software Engineer with a drive to make a difference in healthcare? We're seeking an exceptional individual to join our dynamic team. As a Healthcare SaaS Software Engineer Extraordinaire, you'll play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing software solutions that have a direct impact on patient outcomes.

Essential Job Duties

  • As an individual contributor, design, develop, and deploy scalable, secure, and user-friendly software solutions for our SaaS platform
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define requirements and deliver high-quality features
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code while adhering to coding standards and best practices
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers
  • Enable various capabilities across the cloud using technologies like AWS Lambda, Github Actions, and related automation solutions
  • Actively participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous learning
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends

Other Job Duties

  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or HHA exchange leader.

Travel Requirements

  • Travel up to 10%, including overnight travel

Required Education, Experience, Certifications and Skills

  • B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar field, or significant relevant experience
  • 3-5 years professional experience developing software at a Software Product Company
  • A strong customer mindset and passion for user experience, you are energized by solving customer problems and designing solutions with the customer in mind
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or .Net
  • Experience with web technologies, APIs, and microservices architecture
  • Experience with Nunit, Xunit, or comparable unit testing framework.
  • Experience with front-end frameworks/libraries such as React, or Angular
  • Familiarity with database technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, or NewSQL
  • Experience with Bitbucket and/or Git
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Good problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Team player with sense of ownership, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Preferred Experience, Certifications and Skills

  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for CI/CD, automation, and infrastructure as code
  • (Azure pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform)

  • Experience in healthcare domain Basic understanding of HL7 interoperability standards
  • Experience developing and supporting a distributed software system in production

The base salary range for this US-based, full-time, and exempt position is $105,000-$115,000, not including variable compensation. An employee’s exact starting salary will be based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, merit, location, and the ability to exemplify the HHAeXchange core values.
