The role
Raydar is recruiting for this opportunity through the Paraform network. The position is with our client.
As a Software Engineer, you will build backend systems and AI-powered product features. You will own work from defining the problem and making product decisions through implementation and release, with your time split roughly equally between coding and product definition.
What you'll do
• Define, build, and ship product features from initial customer problem through production release.
• Build and scale the backend systems behind AI-powered healthcare software.
• Make product and user-experience decisions alongside your engineering work.
• Work directly with technical leadership to design systems and prioritize delivery.
• Use AI development tools to support implementation while taking responsibility for the quality of what you ship.
Requirements
What we're looking for
• 1 to 3 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong backend engineering skills and experience delivering production systems.
• Hands-on experience building product features with AI or large language models.
• Ability to take ownership across engineering, product definition, and user experience without needing a product manager to define every step.
• A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
• Comfort with a role that combines substantial coding work with product decisions and direct customer conversations.
Bonus points
• Experience building products at a startup.
• Personal projects or side products that have reached meaningful revenue.
• Experience in healthcare or health technology.
Benefits
Compensation and benefits
• Base salary: $180,000 to $220,000 USD.
• Equity: 0.75% to 1.25%.
• A performance-based bonus may be available for top talent.
Location and work model
• Manhattan, New York, United States.
• Five days per week onsite, plus a sixth working day remotely on Saturday.
• Full-time position.
