Role Summary:
Design, build, and operate robust backend services in Python and Java, using AI tools such as Claude and Copilot responsibly to improve productivity and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain backend services, APIs, and integration components.
- Write clean, testable, maintainable code and perform quality code reviews.
- Contribute to architecture decisions and production troubleshooting.
- Apply secure coding, observability, reliability, and performance best practices.
- Collaborate with QA, DevOps, Architecture, Security, Data teams, and product stakeholders.
AI Skills for This Role:
- Practical use of Claude/Copilot for coding, refactoring, debugging, and test generation.
- Ability to write high-quality prompts for technical tasks.
- Ability to critically review and harden AI-generated code.
- Awareness of data security and IP/confidentiality constraints when using AI tools.
Skills Required
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering
- 2-5 years of professional experience
- Experience developing backend services, APIs, and application integrations
- Proficiency in Python and Java
- Practical experience using Claude or GitHub Copilot for coding, refactoring, debugging, or test generation
- Ability to critically review and secure AI-generated code
- Knowledge of data security, intellectual property, and confidentiality constraints when using AI tools
