Job summary
Software Engineer (2+ years) with solid full-stack skills in Java backend development and React frontend engineering. Working knowledge of identity and access management (IAM) standards including OAuth 2.0, SAML, and OIDC, with exposure to Okta or similar identity providers. Comfortable contributing across the full stack in a CI/CD-driven, cloud-native environment, with hands-on or growing experience integrating AI/LLM capabilities into product features and a strong interest in building secure, scalable applications in a security-domain context.
What you will do
- Develop and maintain Java backend services and RESTful APIs under the guidance of senior engineers, contributing to design decisions
- Build and maintain React UI components and pages, following established patterns for state management, routing, and accessibility
- Implement and maintain identity and access management flows using OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and SAML under guidance, integrating with Okta or other identity providers
- Apply security best practices including secure token handling, input validation, and basic RBAC patterns in day-to-day development
- Contribute to and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools; support reliable, repeatable deployments
- Work with Docker containers and Kubernetes deployments; gain hands-on exposure to infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Helm
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and senior engineers to understand requirements and translate them into working, testable code
- Use observability tools (New Relic, Splunk, Datadog) to monitor application behavior and participate in incident response
- Write unit and integration tests; participate in code reviews and continuously improve code quality and test coverage
- Document code, APIs, and features clearly; keep technical documentation and runbooks up to dat
- Integrate and experiment with AI/LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic) to build AI-assisted features; leverage AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot to accelerate development and improve code quality
What you will have
- 2+ years of Java development experience; familiarity with Spring Boot, RESTful API design, and basic microservices concepts
- Working knowledge of React including hooks, component design, and state management; exposure to frontend testing tools such as Jest
- Basic understanding of OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and SAML protocols; exposure to Okta, Azure AD, or similar identity providers is a plus
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and basic Kubernetes operations; willingness to grow into infrastructure-as-code practices
- Good grounding in software engineering fundamentals — data structures, algorithms, OOP, and core design patterns
- Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL); ability to write and debug SQL queries and understand basic schema design
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and an eagerness to deepen cloud-native skills
- Curiosity and a growth mindset — eager to learn about security domain concepts and take on increasing ownership over time
- Good communication and collaboration skills; able to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
