Job Description

Job Purpose:

The Software Engineer role delivers scalable, secure, and maintainable software by solving complex problems and applying modern architectural patterns. It drives Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD practices while leveraging skills in Angular, Java, Spring Boot, Python, Golang, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms. Acting as a bridge across engineering, QA, and operations, it enforces secure coding, embeds observability, and fosters collaboration to ensure high‑quality, seamless product deliveries.

As per company policy, this role requires presence in the office 4 days per week.

Duties:

  • Solve complex technical problems and deliver innovative, scalable, maintainable solutions with minimal supervision.
  • Implement architectural patterns and design standards in collaboration with key stakeholders, ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Champion Agile and Lean methodologies, fostering continuous learning, collaboration, and iterative improvement.
  • Design, code, review, and optimise critical software components and services.
  • Drive adoption of DevOps practices, automation, continuous integration, and continuous deployment with proactive operational monitoring.
  • Embed security, reliability, scalability, and performance as non-negotiable quality attributes throughout architecture and development.
  • Leverage modern platforms, frameworks, and open-source technologies to optimise cost and flexibility.
  • Promote secure coding practices and security controls throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Serve as a technical bridge between engineering, QA, and other teams to design efficient testing strategies and enable high-quality delivery.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 1–4 years of professional software development experience with hands-on coding across multiple technology stacks.

Technical Expertise:

  • Proficiency in modern front-end and back-end technologies: Angular (v10+), Java, Spring Boot, Python, or Golang.
  • Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern UI frameworks.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks (Jasmine, Jest, Karma, JUnit, PyTest).
  • Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and responsive UI development.
  • Database experience with PostgreSQL and Redis.
  • Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and containerisation technologies.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their service models.
  • Knowledge of Git-based version control, Linux fundamentals, and debugging practices.
  • Understanding of test-driven development, secure coding standards, and observability practices.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and JIRA.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with gRPC, Kubernetes, Grafana, or event-driven systems.
  • Familiarity with ML/AI platforms and UX/UI design principles.
  • Knowledge of UML.
