Your Impact
We're looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join our Research & Development team in Solna, Stockholm. The team builds and develops access control software solutions under the Omnis brand.
In this role, you will:
  • Develop access control software solutions – Contribute to the design, implementation, testing and maintenance of software throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Build software integrations – Develop and maintain integrations with electronic hardware components including access control controllers, intrusion panels, wireless locks, DVRs, cameras and other security equipment.
  • Work as a full-stack developer – Collaborate in an Agile development environment while delivering innovative security solutions.

What You'll Do
In addition to the above, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Design and develop the Omnis platform – Lead or participate in the design, architecture and implementation of the Omnis access control system.
  • Develop software across the full lifecycle – Design, implement, test and maintain software solutions from concept through deployment and support.
  • Create hardware and system integrations – Work with a range of connected security devices and software integrations, primarily developed in C#.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders – Participate in design reviews, code reviews and demonstrations with peers and stakeholders.
  • Support Agile development practices – Contribute to an Agile development environment while maintaining high-quality software standards.

What You'll Bring
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
  • Relevant education and experience – Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with at least 5 years of post-graduate experience in embedded software development.
  • Strong programming expertise – Proficiency programming in C/C++ and C#.
  • Technical systems knowledge – Familiarity with computer system architecture and application processor (SoC) fundamentals including caches, buses, memory controllers and DMA.
  • Database and networking experience – Experience working with relational databases, preferably SQLBase, together with TCP/IP and networking knowledge.
  • Strong software engineering skills – Experience with source control, defect tracking, design documentation, customer documentation, software debugging and Agile development processes.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • Familiarity with access control, intrusion detection or video management systems.
  • Experience leveraging AI for design and development work.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills.
  • A strong team-player mindset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Swedish.
