We’re looking for people to join the Access family, who share our passion for believing in better, and who will help us continue to grow.

Love Work. Love Life. Be You. - is central to our success and how we give our customers the freedom to do more of what's important to them.

What does Access offer you?

We offer a blended approach to office working, encouraging you to collaborate and connect in one of our thriving offices. We deliver on what we say, taking the development of our people seriously. We’ll work with you to progress your success plan and provide opportunities to accelerate your career.

The Role

We’re looking for a Software Engineer for our property management system (PMS) team, which adds new features, keeps the system stable and performant, and refactors it for better extensibility and maintainability. You’ll analyse the current monolith, design scalable microservices, and integrate them into our existing architecture while maintaining high security and performance.

About you:

  • You’re unwaveringly customer-focused - thinking about our customers first to go the extra mile and ensure our customers, guests, and users alike will be best served.

  • You value software quality - you’ll be an experienced developer able to build and deliver high-quality software, skilled in Unit Testing, applying TDD and BDD.

  • You value code quality – you’ll be a passionate proponent of quality code, with production experience applying SOLID principles and software craftsmanship.

  • You’re comfortable working autonomously - once given a project, you can take it from inception through to successful completion, seeking input and feedback along the way.

  • You’re prepared to drive change – you use learning techniques, soft skills, and lead by example to inject new ways of thinking wherever needed.

  • You can turn your hand to new tech and mean it – you’ve moved across languages, frameworks, or layers of the stack before, and you ramp on unfamiliar tech rather than waiting to become an expert first.

  • Experience with scalable microservices architecture or refactoring legacy monoliths is a genuine plus – tell us about it if you’ve got it – but it’s preferred, not required.

We believe in:

  • Short decision-making processes and flat hierarchies

  • Collaboration: we pair and review code where it genuinely adds value, but we lean on tooling and automated tests to hold the line on quality and NFRs – speed to market matters, and gold-plating doesn’t serve the customer

  • High standards and attention to detail. Our code test is a central part of the hiring process

  • Being Agile: we aim to deliver customer value continuously and incrementally

The Technology

We’ve successfully migrated our core products into Kubernetes in Azure and are in the process of refactoring a monolithic WebForm app into an Event-Driven, Microservice architecture

We’re still on this journey, but our current approach utilizes: SPAs with Typescript, React and C# .Net Core APIs with and Azure PaaS.

AI and agentic tooling run through both how we build and what we’re building – coding assistants and agentic workflows in day-to-day development, and increasingly, agentic experiences in the product itself.

AI & Agentic Working

Our platform’s next chapter is agentic, and we want people who go looking for what these tools can do.

  • You explore, and you can show it – you’ve gone beyond the basics with AI and agentic tools, own what they produce, and can point to something you’ve built or broken.

  • You know where they currently fall down – hallucinated logic, confidently wrong tests, security gaps – and you factor that into how you work.
