Disney Parks, Experiences and Products is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a passion for building world-class products and enabling our businesses to be future ready. We are looking for an engineer who has full stack programming experience and is enthusiastic to build and maintain new applications, improving our Guest and Cast experiences.
What You'll Do:
Implement reliable, high-throughput, low latency, scalable and well-documented code to tackle sophisticated algorithms
Collaborate with engineers, product owners, and other partners to propose extensible, reusable and performant solutions
Experiment, develop proof of concept with relevant new technologies
Able to work independently to analyze and solve issues as an individual contributor
Troubleshoot, fix problems reported in lower and production environments
Write unit and component tests to ensure delivery of high-quality code
Monitor and proactively improve production run quality of applications
Work in a scrum team and provide your daily updates
Qualifications:
A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
Domain knowledge in multiple technical and business areas
A minimum of 3 years of software engineering, analysis and design with full software development lifecycle experience.
3+ years of Java, Spring Framework, SQL (AroraDB) and NoSQL-based databases (MongoDB), writing complex SQL queries and building highly scalable and highly performant distributed applications and web services experience.
Exposure to GraphQL / Graph DBs
A minimum of 3 years Internet technologies, microservices architectures experience.
A minimum of 3 year of developing cloud native applications, preferably in AWS experience
Experience with Docker / Kubernetes.
Knowledge of CI/CD tools
Demonstrated strong analytical skills.
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming with an understanding of design principles
Preferred Skills:
Experience in the commerce space and products / pricing / inventory domains
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar field or related equivalent experience
